Durban Tour Guides

I have been a driver-guide for the last 8 years throughout the beautiful Kwazulu Natal Province.
My main guiding specialties are South Africa’s and the province’s rich history, the lively Zulu culture as well as the country’s exciting wildlife.

I speak English and German fluently, guiding both exclusive tours and bus tours, alike.
I enjoyed my childhood on the West Coast of Africa, Namibia. I completed my tertiary education of a BA/LLB at the University of Cape Town, which became my home for several years while I pursued my legal career and married my husband, David.
Years of travel with my husband and living in different African countries led me to experience more of Africa, such as Swaziland, Botswana and the Okavango Delta.
The East Coast , Kwazulu Natal, Durban has been my home now for over 20 years.
I invite all our guests to enjoy our country and province with the same passion I have for both.

I was born and raised in Durban and consider myself a true Durbanite!  I lived in Cape Town for about six years, and al-though I acknowledge it is a really beautiful city, I could not wait to move back to Durban and the wonderful sub-tropical climate!

I’ve been involved in the tourism industry for over twenty years, having started working in foreign exchange in 1993.  I then joined a company that specialised in tours for school and university sports groups and really enjoyed leading inbound and outbound groups.  My next position was as an inbound tour consultant for a medium sized tour operator based in Durban and after a few years was promoted to the position of operations manager.  I have now been a KwaZulu Natal tour guide for five years and thoroughly enjoy it, one of the main aspects of this being the fact that I get to meet so many interesting people, especially off the cruise ships.  Each day is an adventure and I love showing our beautiful province to international visitors.
