Ongava is one of the largest private game
reserves in namibia, covering over 125
square miles, yet we take great pride in
keeping the experience 'small and personal'.
Ongava takes only a limited number of
visitors at any one time, as by so doing we
can provide a level of service and a holiday
experience, which is unmatched.
The beauty of Ongava also lies in a vast
array of plant life and vegetation,
including the Mopane woodlands - unique to
this part of Namibia.
Lodge
A level of luxury found in first class
hotels complements the friendly, sociable
atmosphere at Ongava. The chalets, lodge and
public areas are all decorated to the
highest standards using indigenous
furniture, materials and colours. The rooms
have glass fronted doors which lead out onto
a private covered verandah overlooking
the bush. The main lounge, bar and dining
area is also under thatch with wonderful
views
across the plains and floodlit waterhole
below. Outdoor dining under the stars,
whilst viewing game drinking at the
waterhole is something never to be
forgotten.

Tented camp
Tented Camp offers five, twin traditional
tents with comfortable accommodation. All
with en suite facilities including a basin,
toilet, and shower with hot and cold running
water.The tents are erected on solid floors
extended to a covered verandah, with chairs
and tables.Each tent is equipped with insect
nets, night lights and flashlights and paths
are bordered with stone.Your ranger will
stay with you at all times, taking care of
you in the camp and during all guided
excursions into the bush. On your doorstep
75,000 acres of game reserve awaits your
exploration.
