For almost 100 years, visiting members of Royal families, international and local statesmen, and celebrities worldwide, have preferred to stay at The Victoria Falls Hotel, where they are assured of privacy and care. An atmosphere steeped in history, combining the charm of the old with the comfort and convenience of today.
It is one hotel that can truly claim to be unique.

The Livingstone Room
Elegant dinner and dancing with a classic, la carte menu. As a result of many requests from visitors, The Victoria Falls Hotel has decided to relax aspects of the long-standing dress code in force in its premier dining venue, The Livingstone Room. This is in recognition of the fact that many travellers do not bring with them the more formal clothes that have until now been mandatory in this restaurant. Smart casual wear will now be acceptable in The Livingstone Room at dinner each evening. The fine silver-service dining experience that visitors have come to expect will continue to be the order of the day, however.

Luxurious Accommodation with Breathtaking Views
Our rooms are decorated in a manner that recaptures the comfortable charm of a bygone age, with colonial prints, four-poster and canopied beds, antique furniture and well-chosen artifacts. Modern facilities and amenities mingle well with the old-fashioned ambience, including such 21st century travellers' necessities as personal safes, minibars, bathrobes, digital satellite television and even umbrellas for the convenience of guests visiting the Rain Forest surrounding the Falls. Deluxe Rooms and Suites in the original section of the hotel offer breathtaking views across the deep Zambezi River gorge to the Victoria Falls Bridge and the spray of the Falls.

Recreational Facilities
There are two all-weather, floodlit tennis courts on site. A full range of other sports is available nearby, including an 18-hole, championship golf course at Elephant Hills Intercontinental (5 minutes drive from The Victoria Falls Hotel), Casino located at the Kingdom Hotel (5 minutes walk from The Victoria Falls Hotel); white water rafting; bungee jumping; canoeing; microlighting; game walks and drives; elephant back safaris; helicopter flights over the Falls and cruises on the Zambezi.

A Private Path to the Falls
David Livingstone, intrepid explorer, siting the Falls for the first time from his dugout canoe, in November 1855, could hardly believe his eyes at such a spectacle. It is widely accepted that it was he who brought the discovery to the rest of the world; the Falls were named after his Queen Empress, Victoria.

Weddings and Honeymoons
The Victoria Falls Hotel is a delightfully romantic setting for weddings and honeymoons. From the charming little in-house chapel to the luxurious Honeymoon Suites, this hotel is a bride and groom's delight. Wedding guests and honeymooners are given sparkling wine, Belgian chocolates, red roses and a fresh fruit platter on arrival, with a champagne breakfast served in the privacy of their rooms. Specially chosen gifts from the hotel are offered to wedding couples and honeymooners on their first night.
The Chapel is available for private ceremonies and weddings. Outdoor receptions can be organised in the hotel's gardens with views overlooking The Victoria Falls Bridge.

The Courtyard
The courtyard entrance to the hotel was completed in 1915 and is magnificently reflected in the lily ponds. Picturesque, with flowering shrubs, bright cottage flowers, palms and stately mango trees, the courtyard has many tranquil and shady places in which to relax.
Conferences
The Centenary Room is available for meetings for a maximum of 20 people. The room is set up in boardroom style and is for use by in-house guests only. This room is also available for small executive meetings and private dining.
